Teriflunomide is used for relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS).
How Teriflunomide works
Teriflunomide is an immunomodulatory medication. It works by limiting the function of specific immune cells (T and B cells) that cause nerve damage in multiple sclerosis.
Common side effects of Teriflunomide
Headache, Nausea, Diarrhea, Hair loss, Increased alanine aminotransferase, Joint pain, Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), High blood pressure, Paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation)
