Casts

Casts test detects casts particles present in the urine. Casts are tiny particles found in urine and made up of white blood cells, red blood cells, kidney cells, or substances such as protein or fat. This test helps to detect kidney conditions such as kidney infections, kidney tuberculosis, kidney tumor, and diabetic nephropathy. This test also helps to detect kidney stones. You may get this test done if you have symptoms like cloudy urine, frequent urination, fever, and dehydration.
