Lemon (Citrus limon) is a flowering plant belonging to the Rutaceae family. Lemon is a rich source of citric acid and essential oil which are used for food and medicinal purposes. Lemon is one of the most important species of genus Citrus. It is oval, small, and is generally green to yellow in color.
