Product introduction

Clindasaratan Plus 150mg/12.5mg/5mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.

It is advised to take Clindasaratan Plus 150mg/12.5mg/5mg Tablet with food at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. It may cause the frequent urination, hence take it at day time to avoid frequent urination at night. In case you have missed any doses, take it as soon as you remember it. Never skip any doses and finish a full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

The most common side effects of this medicine include dizziness, fatigue, ankle swelling, and flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk). These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and blood glucose level while taking this medicine.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

How Clindasaratan Plus Tablet works

Clindasaratan Plus 150mg/12.5mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Irbesartan, Chlorthalidone and Cilnidipine which lower blood pressure effectively. Irbesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

What if you forget to take Clindasaratan Plus Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Clindasaratan Plus 150mg/12.5mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
