How Cefoperazone + Sulbactam works
Cefoperazone + Sulbactam is a combination of two medicines: Cefoperazone and Sulbactam. Cefoperazone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefoperazone against bacteria.
Common side effects of Cefoperazone + Sulbactam
Decreased white blood cell count (neutrophils), Decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), Decreased hemoglobin, Decreased hematocrit level, Low blood platelets, Coagulation disorder, Increased white blood cell count (eosinophils), Diarrhea, Nausea, Increased alanine aminotransferase, Increased aspartate aminotransferase, Increased alkaline phosphatase level in blood, Vomiting, Increased bilirubin in the blood
