How Procarbazine works
Procarbazine belongs to a group of medicines called antineoplastic alkylating agents. It works by inhibiting protein, RNA, and DNA synthesis, which helps to stop the growth of cancer cells in the body.

Expert advice for Procarbazine
- Take it with or without food, but try to have it at the same time every day.
- As a precaution, foods high in tyramine (eg. aged cheeses, air-dried meats, soy sauce, tap/draft beers and red wines) should be avoided when taking Procarbazine to avoid a serious reaction.
- Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your blood cell count and liver function.
- It makes you feel dizzy. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
