DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) is vital for brain and eye development during pregnancy, and reduces risk for preterm birth, which is associated with poor neurocognitive outcomes and maternal depression. EPA is effective in high blood pressure in high-risk pregnancies (eclampsia).
