Introduction of Diplopine-L Tablet

Diplopine-L Tablet contains two medicines, both of which help to control high blood pressure. It lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and making it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This will reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Both of the medicines in this combination work to lower blood pressure but in different ways. Together they help to relax blood vessels and make it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This lowers blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well.

Side effects of Diplopine-L Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Diplopine-L Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Diplopine-L Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breast feeding

Diplopine-L Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Diplopine-L Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Diplopine-L Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Diplopine-L Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Diplopine-L Tablet is recommended.
Liver
CAUTION
Diplopine-L Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Diplopine-L Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Diplopine-L Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.

What if you forget to take Diplopine-L Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Diplopine-L Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
