It helps to maintain normal functioning of the internal organs and maintains nerve conduction too. It has a major role in the generation of energy in our body, regulation of mood, healing and repair of damaged tissues and keeping our skin, nails and hair healthy. What if you forget to take Exart Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Exart Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Is Exart Tablet a steroid?
Exart Tablet is not a steroid. It contains Levo-carnitine which is a type of amino acid (made from the amino acids lysine and methionine). It helps in transporting fats to the cells, where fats get metabolized in order to produce energy. It is used to treat primary and secondary Levo-carnitine deficiency.
When can a carnitine deficiency occur?
Carnitine deficiency may be of two types, primary and secondary. Primary is genetic and may show symptoms by five years of age. Whereas, secondary may occur due to certain disorders like kidney problems (chronic kidney failure) and use of antibiotics that reduces its absorption and increases its excretion.
Does warfarin have any effect on Exart Tablet?
In some patients, warfarin when taken along with Exart Tablet may increase the time required for the formation of blood clot. Hence, before starting Exart Tablet, inform your doctor if you are taking warfarin.
What is the best time to take Exart Tablet?
Exart Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Generally, it is advised to be taken 3-4 times daily, preferably with meals or after meals.
Can Exart Tablet be taken by diabetics?
Yes, Exart Tablet can be taken by patients with diabetes. However, it is important to know that it contains sucrose. Some studies have shown that it may improve insulin sensitivity. Along with that, it may also be helpful in relieving nerve pain.
Does Exart Tablet cause diarrhea?
Exart Tablet may very rarely cause diarrhea. This effect of the medicine can be reduced by decreasing the dose of Exart Tablet. But, if you are taking oral solution then take it slowly or dilute it more.
