In Irritable bowel syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Gutrex Plus Capsule relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for management of your condition.
Continue taking it for as long as the doctor may advise you to. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Take a fiber-rich diet, avoid oily or spicy food and drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

How Gutrex Plus Capsule works
Gutrex Plus Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Pantoprazole, Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium which treat irritable bowel syndrome. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which in turn relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium is an anticholinergic medication. It works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.

What if you forget to take Gutrex Plus Capsule?
If you miss a dose of Gutrex Plus Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

- Do not take Gutrex Plus Capsule at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines as it may interact with other medicines.
- Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine.
- Keep sipping water or have sugar-free gum in order to relieve dryness in the mouth.
- Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
