In Severe bacterial infections
Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection works by killing bacteria which can cause serious infections. It is used to treat many different types of bacterial infections such as infections of lungs (pneumonia) and urinary tract. It is given by a doctor or nurse into a vein and should not be self-administered. Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection usually makes you feel better very quickly but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Side effects of Meropol-XP Injection
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Breast feeding

Driving

It is not known whether Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Kidney
CAUTION
Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Meropol-XP Injection
- Meropol-XP 1.5gm Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of a doctor only.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
- It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you.
- It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects.
