Introduction of Parexel Tablet

Parexel Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of abdominal pain. It works effectively to reduce abdominal pain, bloating, discomfort and cramps by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and gut.

Parexel Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Parexel Tablet1 and Parexel Tablet2.

Side effects of Parexel Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

What if you forget to take Parexel Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Parexel Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Depression is a persistent state of sadness that is the result of interaction between one's inner biological and psychological state and gets triggered of with environmental stressors. Reactive depression is in response to a situation like loss, sickness, trauma etc. Endogenous depression occurs without any noticeable environmental stressors. Psychological symptoms include lack of interest, negative thinking, irritability, frustration, feeling demotivated etc. Somatic symptoms like fatigue/ weakness/ lack of sleep/ lack of appetite and other physical symptoms are common. Anxiety is common. In severe cases one may feel helpless and hopeless enough to wish for death or attempt suicide. Treatment includes physical and psychiatric work up following which medicines can be prescribed. In milder cases, psychotherapy or counselling is recommended.

Keep this medicine in the packet or container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

Can I use Parexel Tablet while breastfeeding?

It is advised that you should only use Parexel Tablet when it is clearly needed. It is known that this medicine passes into breast milk and may have serious side effects on an infant younger than 6 months of age. Do not breastfeed a baby while taking this medicine or else take your doctor’s advice about this.

Can I drive while taking Parexel Tablet?

No, Parexel Tablet may make you drowsy or can cause blurred vision. Do not drive a car or operate machinery while you are on this medicine.

What should I discuss with my doctor before taking Parexel Tablet?

Before you start taking Parexel Tablet, tell your doctor if you are allergic to this medicine or have problems with urination. Also inform your doctor if you have a bowel obstruction or severe constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a serious heart condition or active bleeding. Your doctor should also know if you are breastfeeding or have glaucoma (eye disorder causing gradual loss of sight).

What is Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube, which connects your mouth and stomach (esophagus). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of your esophagus. Symptoms include chest pain (heartburn) usually after eating, which might get worse at night, and difficulty in swallowing.
