Irritable bowel syndrome is a chronic (long-term) inflammatory disease of the large intestine (colon) that usually needs long term management. This can lead to bleeding, frequent diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, cramps and stomach pain. Rebaxide Tablet relaxes the muscles in your stomach and gut(intestine) and relieves these symptoms effectively. Usually, it is used along with other medicines for the management of your condition.

Can the use of Rebaxide Tablet cause physical dependence?
Yes, Rebaxide Tablet may cause physical dependence as it contains Chlordiazepoxide as one of the ingredients. Physical dependence is defined as the occurrence of a withdrawal reaction following sudden stoppage of the drug or a decrease in dose. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine or if you need to make any change in the dose.
Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Rebaxide Tablet?
The use of Rebaxide Tablet is not recommended to patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of Rebaxide Tablet. Its use is also not advisable in patients of glaucoma, benign prostate enlargement and bladder neck obstruction.

Rebaxide Tablet should not be taken along with opioids-like substances as it contains chlordiazepoxide. Use of opioids along with chlordiazepoxide may cause excessive sedation (state of calm or sleep), respiratory depression and eventually coma or death. What are the symptoms of an overdose of Rebaxide Tablet?
Both Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium show different symptoms of overdose. Chlordiazepoxide can cause sleepiness, reflexes, confusion and coma. Clidinium can cause excessive dryness of mouth, blurred vision, urinary hesitancy and constipation. Inform the doctor in case you take a higher dose and any of these symptoms appear.
