In Prevention of Hepatitis A infection
Hepatitis A is an inflammation of the liver caused by infection with the hepatitis A virus. Twinrix Paediatric Injection helps your body develop immunity by forming antibodies that your body needs for protection against the hepatitis A virus. It is given by an injection into a muscle only by a doctor or nurse.
In Prevention of Hepatitis B infection
Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can spread from person to person through blood, semen or other body fluids. It can cause mild illness lasting a few weeks or can lead to a serious, lifelong illness. Twinrix Paediatric Injection is given to prevent hepatitis B infection. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

Twinrix Injection
- Twinrix Paediatric Injection is used to immunize adults and adolescents 16 years of age and above who are at risk of both hepatitis A and hepatitis B infection.
- It consists of three doses, the first administered at the selected date, the second one month later, and the third six months after the first dose.
- The vaccine will not prevent infection caused by other agents such as hepatitis C and hepatitis E and other pathogens known to infect the liver.
