How Zoline Eye Drop works
Zoline Eye Drop is a combination of six medicines: Naphazoline, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Boric Acid, Sodium Chloride and Zinc Sulfate. Naphazoline is a decongestant which narrows the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing redness and inflammation (swelling). Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eye. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for red, itchy, watery eyes. Boric Acid and Zinc Sulfate are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eyes and relieve irritation. Sodium Chloride is a purified salt solution which cleanses the eye and reduces swelling.

Quick tips
- Zoline Eye Drop provides soothing relief from eye irritation due to allergy.
- It should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
- In case the dropper tip gets contaminated, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
- After applying Zoline Eye Drop, close your eyes, and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
- Avoid wearing contact lenses until your doctor advises you that it is suitable for you to wear your lenses again.
