Understanding NCCT Shoulder Joint
What is NCCT Shoulder Joint?
NCCT (Non-contrast computerized tomography) is a better version of an X-ray test. It does not require contrast medicines. NCCT shoulder joint is performed to diagnose the cause of stiffness and pain in one or both shoulders. It can also help detect tumors and blood clots in the area. It uses multiple X-ray images of your shoulder to create a cross-sectional image of the bones and tissues there.
There are no known risks of taking this test. Nevertheless, you must inform your doctor if you are pregnant, are on medication, or have a serious health issue. You will also be asked to take off all metal accessories to not interfere with the rays.
