Measles Vaccine (Live) + Mumps Virus Vaccine + Rubella vaccine (Live) is a combination of three vaccines, which prevents measles, mumps, and rubella. It helps develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections.

Priorix Vaccine should be stored in the refrigerator at 2 to 8°C. Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed, away from the reach of pets and children.
Q. Which is the best time to vaccinate a newborn baby?
The first dose of Priorix Vaccine should be given once the child is of 12 months. The second dose should be given at 18 months and the third dose between 4 to 6 years of age.

Priorix Vaccine is very effective in the prevention of infection. However, there are chances of getting the infection even after being vaccinated.

Priorix Vaccine is usually given at 12 months of age because when the child is born he receives antibodies from the mother. However, these antibodies decline with age, thereby making the baby more prone to infection. Therefore, the child requires vaccination.
