Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines that work in different ways to treat men with an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or needing to go to the toilet more often.
Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER may be taken with or without food but it should be taken at the same time each day. Your doctor will prescribe the dose most suitable for you. To gain the most benefit and to treat your symptoms effectively, you should not miss doses, even if you feel well. It may take a few weeks to notice an improvement in the symptoms but keep taking them regularly.
The most common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, upper respiratory tract infection, and fatigue. These risks are higher when you first start taking this drug. If these side effects worry you or do not go away, call your doctor for advice.
Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER should not be taken by women or children. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or liver or kidney disease. This medicine may not be suitable for everybody. It can also affect, or be affected by, other drugs. So let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. You may be advised to wear a condom during sex if your partner is or may be pregnant. Your doctor may recommend getting your blood pressure checked frequently. Avoid drinking alcohol as it can cause excessive dizziness with this medicine.
When your prostate gland becomes enlarged it can cause urinary problems such as difficulty passing urine and a need to go to the toilet frequently or urgently. It can also cause urine flow to be slower. If not treated, there is a risk that your urine flow will be completely blocked. Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER rapidly relieves the symptoms and makes it easier for you to urinate. However, it may take a while to notice the full benefit. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed and for as long as it is prescribed for maximum benefits.

How Alfusin T Tablet ER works
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a noncancerous (nonmalignant) enlargement of the prostate gland. Alfusin T 5 Tablet ER is a combination of two medications. Alfuzosin is an alpha blocker that works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder to allow urine to flow more easily. Tadalafil improves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia by an unknown mechanism. But, it is believed to work through inhibition of an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE 5).
