Ultrasound KUB test is an ultrasonography (USG) or ultrasound of the lower abdomen which assesses the condition of your kidneys, ureters, and urinary bladder (KUB). In the case of males, seminal vesicles and prostate gland are also included in this test.

A KUB ultrasound is done if you show symptoms such as frequent urination, unintentional urination during coughing and sneezing, inability to delay the urge to urinate and strain while urinating.

This test is usually prescribed to determine changes in the size of the kidney, signs of kidney damage, the presence of obstructions like kidney stones and tumors, and structural abnormalities in the KUB region.
